Child Safety Standards
Last updated: October 5, 2026
BarChata Corp has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to BarChata Social and every BarChata product.
1. Adults only
BarChata Social is a nightlife app for adults. You must be at least 18, or the legal drinking age where you live if that is higher, to use it. Accounts we believe belong to a minor are removed.
2. What is prohibited
- Any content that sexualises, exploits or endangers a minor, including images, video, drawings, AI-generated content, text and links.
- Grooming: contacting, befriending or manipulating a minor for sexual purposes.
- Sextortion, trafficking, or offering, requesting or sharing CSAM in any form.
- Using posts, stories, Vibes, comments, chats or direct messages to do any of the above.
3. How to report
- In the app: tap the ••• menu on any post, story, Vibe, comment, profile or message and choose Report. You can also Block the account.
- By email: support@barchata.com with the subject “Child safety report”. Include the username and a description. Do not attach or forward illegal images.
- Directly to authorities: in Canada, Cybertip.ca; in the U.S., the NCMEC CyberTipline. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911.
4. What we do
- Child safety reports go to the top of our moderation queue and are reviewed as fast as possible.
- We remove violating content and permanently ban the accounts involved.
- We report apparent CSAM and child exploitation to the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (Cybertip.ca), to NCMEC where applicable, and to law enforcement, as required by Canada’s mandatory reporting law and other applicable laws.
- We preserve relevant information and cooperate with law enforcement requests.
5. Child safety contact
Our designated contact for child safety and CSAM matters, including questions from app stores and law enforcement, is Jericho Digos, Founder & CEO, at support@barchata.com. BarChata Corp, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
